"Returning to nature as a woman thanks to a woman"
Designed by Giulia Taboga, an established female huntress, mountain explorer, naturalist, environmentalist, and well known in her home country of Italy. Giulia began hunting when she was thirteen years old and obtained her hunting license as soon as she could. She only hunts for five months of the year, and the rest of the year takes walks in the woods and mountains, observing the wildlife and taking pictures when she can. Giulia has gained quite a reputation in the hunting world in Europe and was chosen as an endorser for major brands such as Franchi, Fiocchi, Steiner, Crispi, Riserva, Shothunt and Swarovski. She certainly feels at home in the forest, field or mountains and knows exactly what is needed for comfortable and practical performance clothing for the outdoors.
Her clothing collection is made with Huntext Wild Performance fabric that combines Italian expertise and quality with durability, performance, softness and elasticity. It's a completely windproof fabric with great thermal characteristics, and is simple and comfortable to wear thanks to its bi-elastic qualities.
I've been wearing the Matajur Light Pants and Jacket this Spring and Summer and can honestly say they are the most comfortable hunting jacket and pants I've ever worn. They are like a second skin. The pants perfectly fit any shape of woman due to the stretchy soft but durable fabric and elasticated waistband, and the cut on the Jacket is flatteringly fitted and still practical with a hidden hood inside the collar for those sudden rain showers. Every attention to detail has been put into the complete range, and the quality is outstanding.
For an extra layer I sometimes wear the Mia Gillet, Mia Fleece (Sweater), or Lussari Down Jacket which is available in four colours (green, blue, violet, and camo). Giulia has also designed the Colvorat Winter Pants and Jacket for the colder climates and winter seasons. The pants have an inner lining so there is no need to wear an extra base layer underneath, and have an additional waterproof strong lining on the outside of the knees and bottom area for those moments when your kneeling or crawling through wet ground, or sitting on damp rocks, high seats or snow. The Jacket has a detachable game bag and padded hood, with an ammo pouch and carabiner inside the pockets, plus hand warmer pockets, and a retractable belt for high visibility. There are also 2 large pockets with a snap fastener, two inside pockets with zips, and one inner pocket with velcro fastening. This Jacket as be designed to incorporate everything you could ever need from a hunting jacket and for any hunting adventure in woods, fields, forest, or mountains.
I'm also really liking the Mangart Hunting Vest, which is a very stylish alternative to wearing a hunting jacket, or great as an additional layer. I also like to wear it when practising my clay shooting to replace my usual skeet vest. The lower outside pockets are large enough to hold several shotgun cartridges, and there are two handy zip pockets on the breast of the vest.
Giulia really has thought of every detail when designing this stylish, unique and practical collection of hunting clothes for Lady Hunters, and drawn on the experience and knowledge she has gained through her many years of hunting. This is exactly the collection of clothing us Lady Hunters need and the type of clothing I've been longing to provide to you all through Lady Hunter.
"In all things of nature there is something of the marvellous"
Nature is the mother but also perilous: it's important to return to it fully prepared, starting with the appropriate clothing.
